SALT CAMP 2016

The Salesian Youth Movement - South Province organized three consecutive SAlesian Leadership Training (SALT) camps in different districts of Mindanao, Negros, and finally, Cebu. This marks the second time the SYM Core Group personally set foot in Davao and Negros to gather the young people for leadership training.

The first stop was in Mindanao District last April 21-24, 2016. Salesian Youth Leaders coming from Don Bosco Boys' Home, Ma-a, Sacred Heart Parish, Mati, and Mary Help of Christians Parish, Dacudao were gathered to participate in a 4-day leadership training. Distance then was not a hindrance to the vibrant enthusiasm and youthful energy of the participants of Mindanao District.


The second stop was in Negros District last May 5-8, 2016. Young leaders coming from St. John Bosco Parish, Mambucal; St. Joseph the Worker Parish and Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) Victorias, participated the SALT Camp. The first ever camp held in Don Mambucal Retreat House, Negros Occidental.

The third and final stop was in Cebu District last May 18-21, 2016. Youth leaders from Lourdes Parish-Don Bosco Youth Center, Don Bosco Youth Center-Borongan, Don Bosco Boys' Home-Liloan, Don Bosco Youth Center-Pasil, Don Bosco Youth Center-Lawaan, Don Bosco Technology Center - DBYC, BED, College and TVET actively participated in the camp at Don Bosco Technology Center, Punta Princesa, Cebu City. The youthful energy and enthusiasm of the participants was afire during the whole camp as it culminates the series of camps the Salesian Youth Movement - South Province has organized.

To our participants, thank you for journeying with us this summer.
